Day 2: Sunday. Today we went to church with the local community. What an incredible experience. First though, we served breakfast to the children who attend the school onsite. The porridge was good but very hot!
Once church started, it was all go - the singing was amazing, and the service was 3 and a half hours long! The length was partially due to the translation from Luganda into English for our benefit. The children and their families dress up beautifully and the welcome we were given was very special. By the time we were half way through we had all had many welcome hugs and were sitting by a local person who had invited us to do so. The warmth and welcome from the Ugandan people is incredibly humbling.
